The safe cold email ceiling is 20–30 emails per mailbox per day (including follow-ups) on warmed infrastructure. Scale by adding mailboxes and sending domains never by pushing one mailbox harder. Google and Microsoft suspend accounts that spike volume from young infrastructure.

Why spikes get caught
Filters model normal human sending: gradual, daily, conversational. A mailbox that goes from 5 to 200 emails overnight fails that model regardless of content. Consistency is the camouflage.
Scaling the right way
- Add mailboxes in pairs on new sending domains.
- Keep 2–3 mailboxes per domain maximum.
- Stagger warm-up so capacity comes online continuously.
- Retire domains showing placement decay; rotate in rested ones.
