Free Domain Health Checker SPF, DKIM, DMARC & MX in One Scan
One scan for the complete picture: can the domain receive mail (MX), who's allowed to send (SPF), is mail signed (DKIM across common selectors), what happens to failures (DMARC), and is the domain blacklisted. You get a health score out of 100 and a prioritized fix list.
How this check works
- 01
Runs MX, SPF, and DMARC lookups plus a Spamhaus DBL check in parallel.
- 02
Probes common DKIM selectors (google, default, selector1, selector2, k1, mail, smtp) and reports the first hit.
- 03
Each layer contributes to a weighted score; failures generate specific fix guidance.
How to fix common problems
Fix order matters
MX first (replies must land), then SPF, then DKIM, then DMARC enforcement. Blacklist listing overrides everything delist before sending again.
Sending domains vs primary domain
Cold outreach should run on separate sending domains (get-yourbrand.com), each passing this check, protecting your primary domain's reputation.
Example
A domain with MX ✓, SPF ✓ (-all), DKIM ✓ (google), DMARC p=reject ✓, DBL clean scores 100. Missing DMARC enforcement alone drops it to ~75.
FAQ
- What is a good domain health score?
- 90+ is send-ready. 70–89 means fix the flagged layer before scaling volume. Below 70, do not send cold email from this domain.
- How often should I check domain health?
- After any DNS change, monthly during active sending, and immediately if open rates collapse.
- Does a perfect score guarantee inbox placement?
- No authentication is the entry ticket. Placement also depends on sender reputation, engagement, volume ramps, and content.
