Email blacklists are shared databases of IPs and domains involved in spam. Spamhaus is the most influential a DBL listing can junk your mail across most providers within hours. Get off by fixing the root cause first, then requesting delisting; stay off with verified lists and complaint control.

Domain lists vs IP lists

Domain blacklists (Spamhaus DBL) list your domain every email containing it suffers, regardless of sending IP. IP blacklists (Spamhaus SBL, Barracuda) list sending IPs mostly your ESP's problem on shared infrastructure, your problem on dedicated IPs.

How domains get listed
